Has anyone used the USB charging socket under the seat. I find it useless. Last year it would charge very very slowly. This year i have a new phone - nothing fancy - and it wont charge it. Do I have a faulty charger on the bike?

It’s got to be at least 2amp to have any effect. I got a optimate charger lead hooked onto my battery and use a usb attachment, not cheap but it works

Apologies - I think in my haste (and using the phone) I didn't explain too well. What I mean is Triumph provide a USB (rectangular) socket under the seat to charge phones/sat navs etc. Mine is hopeless - the phone will not charge. I've just checked the part and it's used on several other Triumphs (T120, Street Cup, Scrambler, Street Triple). A new one is only £21. But I don't want to buy another and find they are all useless. Bit of a shame as mine's just out of warranty otherwise I'd be kicking up a fuss at the dealer.

What amperage does your phone require ? My Doogee S60 requires 5v @ 2.0 amperes. So most other phone charger’s won't charge it

That might explain it. I changed the phone this year to pretty basic Samsung. I don't remember having the issue last year with the old phone. I've started to look into meatier chargers which I can hook up to the battery directly (via a fuse).
