Hi guys New to Triumph and The forum. Have bought 2013 SE totally standard and a bit ruff and ready with the intention of customising her “tastefully” on a small Budget with no technical mechanical ability or experience. So going to need all the help i can get. So far ive managed to swap out the mickey mouse ears mirrors for some official triumph black cast (with some adaptors) next project indicators- HELP
Thanks v much Dropped rear mudguard off last night. Looking at tail tidy and indicators now. So much choice im struggling
Hi and welcome to the forum. I have a 2012 SE, now much modified. Suspension is the first place to start. Ditch the stock rear shocks and go Hagon or similar. Loads of advice on here.
Hi and welcome... you should have a look at the GMU thread as there are a number of members coming to Northumberland in July..... a four day outing with like minded bikers up for riding, a little drinking and a laugh!
Thefullten. Welcome to the Family. Good pic's. Honestly if it were me I would get the bike back on the road. Things like indicators and bling can come as you ride or winter time. Ride Safe & Enjoy. Joe.
Welcome to the forum. You're right, there are loads of options for aftermarket parts for the Bonneville. My advice would be not to rush any decisions, and have a good look around on forums etc first to get some ideas of the look/style you want to achieve. A couple of good sites for parts that I have used are: Squaredeals: https://www.squaredeals-ltd.co.uk/bonneville-thruxton-t100--scrambler-800865cc-parts-281-c.asp Motone: https://www.motone.co.uk/motorcycle-parts-c26/triumph-bonneville-c25 If you are working on your bike yourself, then I'd also recommend a Haynes workshop manual. A search of YouTube will also give you loads of demonstration videos from various sources for fitting most common accessories. A good starting point might be Delboy's Grarage channel for example the video below shows fitting a tail tidy to a Bonneville: I have the smaller chrome version of these indicators https://www.squaredeals-ltd.co.uk/t...urn-signals-matte-blackclear-lens-32031-p.asp fitted to my Bonneville, I'm very happy with them and they were easy to fit (with the additional connectors https://www.squaredeals-ltd.co.uk/t...rness-interconnects-front-or-rear-28104-p.asp). You should be aware that if you fit front indicators with short stems, then you may need to either relocate the indicators or the ignition switch, otherwise there may not be sufficient gap for the ignition key.
Thanks really really useful stuff Watched a few delboys garage and all over youtube already. Enjoying tinkering and learning as i go, those indicators look perfect so if i relocate the front ones onto forks using brackets can i use same ones front and back?
Yes, you have several options for mounting the rear indicators, like to a suitable tail tidy, shock brackets, under seat brackets, etc. I have mine mounted to a Motone tail tidy, that I then modified to allow me to fit with a polished rear mudguard...
Tonight's efforts... finally got an hour at her when kids went to bed..... set of knee pads on and chrome luggage rails all removed. Lost rear pillion pegs as well.
