That’s another reason I felt safe putting my money toward Goldtop. With their years in business, there have been plenty of miles ridden with their gear. If there were many problems you’d hear about it.
no probs - each to their own - it's just what I prefer. They did save my hands when a myopic old trout reversed out of her driveway just 50m from the exit of a bend on a twisty 40mph section. Obviously, reversing out she didn't use the mirror opposite that had been thoughtfully provided for the safety of other road users. Anywya, I have to say, I'm sure I'd cut a dash in the red Goldtop bobbers - same colour as my Sprint. I'm tempted......
There are so many out there mate, it really depends on what style you're looking for Race, casual, short, long, zip only, velcro, zip and velcro, black, brown, coloured? I've got some Alpinestars Race gloves for my Mille and Furygan James D30 https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/289697 for my Nightstorm but neither of those may be what you're after
I know what you mean, I want a short pair of black leather summer gloves but there are so many to choose from, I'm thinking about these one's. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MGVS1950...03455397?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&var=453330
If you're looking for protection then D30 is definitely the way to go so they look good even just in that style you will find many pairs of a similar look and spec. I put this link up only because I have the brown version and very much rate them but I can't say they are any better or worse than the ones you're looking at or any others with the same spec.https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/289715
That's interesting. I tried a Goldtop jacket on yesterday and it felt like a good quality jacket. Do you think quality is diminished by being manufactured in India?
Yeah, it is a shame. The bloke even made a point about them being British made; all part of the speil
It is a shame especially considering the leather trade used to be huge in the UK. I think Scott Leathers claim to be the only UK based manufacturer of leathers, although there are loads of bespoke/custom producers in the UK. Also Davida claim to be the only helmets still made in the UK.
Hideout Leathers in Essex do some good stuff. They supply the police and fire service in Essex. Very expensive, but will last a lifetime.
