I’ll preclude this with a little bit of information about the motorcycle and the situation I’m in. About 20 years ago my dad drove down from Alaska with a motorcycle he’d just bought off a guy who blew a piston. My dad loved triumphs but never got around to it and it sat under our house, in a semi exposed garage on the Oregon coast, for that entire time. My we found out that my father had cancer and he and I decided to start working on the motorcycle as a bonding thing. We got as far as disassembling the top end and having the cylinders bored out to +.02 and purchasing a new set of pistons when he passed away. I’m off at college so working on the motorcycle isn’t possible here but over the summer I’ll be home and that’s something I’m setting out to do. The motorcycle, as the title states, is a 1968 T100C with just over 3k miles on it. It sat but it’s all there and over the years my father collected 2 more engines, I don’t know if I’m working order, 4 more sets of cylinders, and a myriad of other Triumph related parts and tools. This motorcycle was my dad’s dream that he let sit and I hope to fix it and ride it like he would have. I’ll post pictures when I head home and can look at the bike but does anyone have any info for me? I’m mechanically inclined (changed a clutch on my Subaru and was raised by a mechanic) but have little actual experience. Is anyone in the Portland/Salem/Oregon area I should get in contact with? Thank you so much for any advice you can give.

Welcome Vortos, good luck with the restoration. I hope you find someone who can help you out where you are as it’d be lovely to honour your fathers memory by bringing his bike back to its best.
Have you joined TriumphRat forum? There’s a lot more American users there, maybe someone near you who can help or advise on good resources.
Edit - sorry, didn’t mean to promote another forum ;)
