sticking gear lever on 1970 t100

    gear lever goes into first,then sticks down,removed cover ,camplate okay ,change plungers going up and down okay,no wear on them,can move gear lever through gears but will stick,now and then,answers please thanks

    Is the spindle free or clogged up with crud ?

    no it all works fine,was all good then it suddenly started sticking,can put in first gear and it feels like its overriding when it sticks never come across this before

    Mmmm is the gearbox worm selector in good condition ? and the selector pins ok (the ones that run in the worm selector) ?
    sorry if that ia not the correct term but I am sure you know what I mean :)

    Weak return spring? I would stil use wd40 type lube round the spindle incase it is dried out and see if it helps. Possibly bent selector forks?
