More detail required Mark for others to assist.
    Does the dash light up?
    Does it crank?
    Does it try to fire?

Sounds like heat soak on the crankshaft position sensor, once the windings cool down, normal service will resume until you switch off again

No I don’t think so. Certain resistance tests will need to be carried out on the sensor when you have the non start scenario. If you go to the Technical section, these readings have been discussed on previous threads. If the readings are within parameters, then you have a problem elsewhere.Im sure someone else on the forum more qualified than me could assist you, but check the CPS first

Is it just when the engine is warm?

Are you sure the valve clearances are within spec. and are not too tight at that mileage?

    Hi Mark.
    I ran a 1050 tiger for 5 years or so. I used tiger1050.com as a forum then.
Have a look and search your non start issue there. Unfortunately a few bikes had this problem, most did not. Some guys spent a fortune chasing the problem and never cured it. Hope you have better luck with a simple fix.

At the risk of teaching Granny to suck eggs.......how much do you know and understand about your ignition system?

You have an ECU fed by air temp sensor and throttle position sensor (with stepper motor) as well as a crank position sensor to give the ECU engine speed and position data. You then have a fuel system.....

My simple point is that there are a number of not so simple possibilities and trying to fix it by part substitution could be a) expensive and b) unsuccessful!

A manual and a multimeter and a little self education could work out cheaper and less frustrating in the long run. If that is not your bag then just buy the manual and find a local auto electrician to give that side a full health check.

Sounds like an engine management sensor/ECU issue, a good tech should be able to trace it.
Start with Crank position sensor and then the IAT.
Before that make and break as many electrical loom connections that you can get too in particular ECU and also check all earthing points, again those nearest ECU.
