Just seen this on ebay - old stock from 1999 from the factory. Bought one for my new Trident now only three left. £60.00 instaed of £275.00. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171728485100?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Triumph list price for these seats is £25 + vat in their heritage parts list! Methinks someone is extracting the urine! Yes I want one, but I will not be subscribing to that dealer's greed. Shows total contempt for customers. Can't begin to say what my opinion of them is. I just hope that their next corporate shit is a hedgehog!!
steve I dont think they are being greedy here, have a look on ebay at the prices for even used ones or the kit to recover which are over £40. I do agree tho that their prices tend to be rather exravagant, lol to say the least
Oh yes!! Team Roberts quoted me £30 all in, but I was late to order one due to laptop problems, so I may have lucked out! (Ordered thursday 9th, i.e. day before bank holiday weekend - not good!). Many on the triumph torque forum have had some real bargains, which is where I got a price/availability list. Damned laptop went away for a week, came back for a day, went away again and came back a week later - working properly this time. Those two weeks may have cost me a bargain! Oh well, I have turned falling into a bucketful of tits and coming out sucking my thumb into something of an art form!! So I should expect things to go awry, I suppose!! SIGH......!
It's a Trident 900 seat. wouldn't look right on a Daytona. Looks like they are now unavailable but I might have a look at work on Monday as if they are still available then Total triumph are being a bit naughty
Well, my luck held, as I thought it would, and there are no more seats available! Ah well ... sigh ... I didn't want one anyway ... much! But, as someone much wiser than me (not difficult, admittedly!) once said, "God's always got a custard pie up his sleeve!" Good job I like custard pies, then!
