I hope Scott does well in BSB, brilliant rider and he seems to be up for the challenge even although he doesn't know a lot of the tracks
Scott would be my tip for the 2019 BSB Title. Very talented rider and at the level he’s at any new circuits shouldn’t be a problem
Really enjoy the BSB racing. I'm a bit miffed as I will miss my local meet at Oulton Park this year, still will be of to warmer climes...
there's a local guy to me who is in the Supersport this season Rory Skinner he won the British talent cup last year and for a while it looked like he would be without a ride this season but Chris walker has supplied a Kawasaki ZX-6 for him. his old man owns a motorbike shop in Dundee and Rory is often there helping out.. If anybody's feeling flush they are looking for sponsor's!
I was lucky enough to win a couple of VIP tickets from Bennetts for Sunday. I have to say it was one of the best days out I've had. We had superb seating overlooking the Brooklands section where a lot of the action took place. I got to walk on the grid and attend race 1 press conference. Got a lap in the M2 safety car and watched the start of race 1 from the podium. Watching Redding's mechanics quickly rebuilding his clutch on the starting grid was very interesting until I got moved on.
The first 20yrs of the BSB championship i went to EVERY race, the last 10yrs i have not been enjoying, since jonathan palmer took over at the msv owned tracks [he is a f1 car man] he has been letting cars down into the spectator spots that only used to be for bikes and then they make it worse by sitting on the roof of the cars so not good viewing for me and even though silverstone is 14mls from me don't go as it's a flat car track, and for the 1st time in 30yrs i was thinking of not going to ANY of them if the ducati is going to dominate like it is in WSB looks like they won't have it all their own way so will be going to oulton regrettably in the car until my knee is better,so don't care who wins so long as it's not ducati.
Well i am so glad i listened to all the reports that brooks was pissing it in practice around oulton and i decided not to go,[the 1st oulton iv'e ever missed] saved myself £35 just to sit there and watch a ducati win both races easily, have to keep a close eye on donnington times, this is a strange year for me.
First time I went to my local circuit Oulton Park on 3rd August 1964, still got the programme, and hardly missed a meeting for 15 years be it Internationals or Club meetings. I was also a regular when BSB started but its now lost its buzz for me, sounds the same for you Gaz.
That is a really sad post with no basis on reality. Ducati have won, Yamaha have won, Suzuki by default. BSB is quite probably the fairest championship in the world due to a mandatory Motec ecu. Parking really doesn’t come into racing and since MSV became involved, all the facilities have improved. I really and honestly don’t see what you have in the last ten years. If anything Ducati dominated way more in the old days to now with BSB
I thought, you know what let’s go back ten years and see the BSB results. First Oulton Park meeting Leon Camier Yamaha won both races and the title. I’m sorry bud but your analysis of Ducati domination is well off. Watch the racing it really was good at Oulton and Silverstone 2019 Without any bias you may get a surprise, it looks really good Yamaha dominance at Silverstone, Ducati dominance at Oulton...... who’s next
