Think I found the problem. So simple it's embarrassing. The fluid in the forks. Looks like there was too much in the left side. Took the bike out, 60 MPH the bounce was almost completely gone. Still needs some tweaking but looks like I am on the right track. Thanks for all for your advice. 77 Bonnie....

Hi there I wrecked my 2009 speedmaster and bent the forks. Where online can I buy new forks for good price?

Pulled the weights off the back wheel. It appears a friend-mechanic who changed a rear tire for me over weighted the back wheel. Bike can now speed along at 70 but the ride is rough. Soon, but not today, I'll pull the rear and balance it on my balancing stand. I also changed the fork oil from a 20W to 7.5w. A quart was pricey, but the front end smoothed out a bit. To date, it's not the front wheel or the balance of the front tire. wheel is round. Forks are in good condition, alignment is good, back wheel could be balanced, seals are good, new springs, but I must admit. One of the problems is the same problem I am suffering with. We both are getting old. Me 71, my Bonnie 41. In bike years that could be the same as me. Now can someone tell me why, when I ride up and down the beach, young women with large breast in small two piece bikinis with their ass cheeks hanging out, no longer look at me. Old broads in their 70s and 80s always undress me with their eyes when I pass at the grocery store.

Always good to start your own thread. Hijacking another thread only gets frowned on.

Get rid of those pathetic tyres and fit Avon's see how much better your bike performs. Put Hagon shocks on the back and get that wheel balanced and checked for buckle's also the front. And next time you dismantle the front forks check your bushes and dampers. Take the front end loosen the frond guard wiggle and bounce the front end it helps to pull every back into line.
