Having owned and put 4,800 miles on a Bonneville T100 Black for the past 10 months I have now traded in for a Tiger 800 XRt, a 700 mile round trip from London to Cumbria in 2C and rain in Jan did it for me, ended up freezing and knackered for days afterwards. Decided to take a Tiger out for a test and held onto it for 5 days, fell in love with biking all over again, such a joy to ride, as much as I love the Bonny, and it does look beautiful, I felt it just didn't offer the practicality of the Tiger, now looking forward to long trips to Europe (assuming they will let me in) in the Summer. Anyone else done the same and what do you think of decision?

    Hello kips, I trade up to a 2018 Tiger 800 from a 2013 Tiger 800.

You could say I like the Tiger 800 :)

Me, I tried the tiger when my thruxton was being serviced, loved it, bought one and was lucky enough to be able to keep the thruxton which I love just as much

I had a new Tiger 800xca out for the day while my speedy was in for a 12,000 service (ouch), I was highly impressed, a really easy and comfortable ride, did about 180 miles and found it was great in just about every way, all the fancy extras are nice, heated grips and seat, cruise control etc. I could really be tempted to get one for longer runs and weekends away.
Only problem is the speed still put such a huge smile on my face on the way home I don't think I could bare to part with it!

I always think that you’re not a proper biker unless you own more than one bike, when I’m down to just one I do feel as if something is missing.

Perhaps I should make room in the garage?
The wife may divorce me though!
But then I wouldn't need all the crap she keeps there.

Make room in the garage! :D

Got a Tiger 800 XRT and a Speed RS in the garage.
Had to sell my Bonnie to get the Tiger though , but only because I wanted to go touring more and the Tiger is much more practical in that respect.

I had a friend who always bought black bikes, changed it every 2 years, when asked why he said his wife never realised
