Featured So How Much Have You Changed Since You Brought Your Machine

So it got me thinking, we all love to tinker and I have had my Daytona since mid February and I think she has changed a lot since I had her .. so I put this question to you all.. what have you changed ... !!!!

My changes...

I removed all the race aftermarket stickers and tack..

I replaced the indicators for micro led for looks and brighter light (safety)

I replaced the rear brake light for a led one which has built in indicators for safety and looks.

I replaced the lower fairing both sides as it has a crack on each side (I since then have damaged the right side again ahaha)

I replace the chain and sprockets, which were after market for real triumph parts.

Updated the headlight bulbs 140%

Changed the number plate for correct size, not that stupid tiny plates.

More to come but not done yet it's only March, give me a chance lol

Wondered if you are talking about a Baby which I have never tried to buy or the wife and she could buy and sell me many times over. Or my bike and they aren't she's they are machines made from metal and plastic. But each to there own every one adds a little of them self's to there machines.

Changed more than a few things in two years.
This was the day I bought it - completely stock with 1800 miles on the clock.
This is the bike now with many changes!

 

Prefer it as it was when you first got it Steve.

Bikes trying to copy classic bikes should look like classic bikes, not with bits hacked off

That said it’s your bike and if you like it that’s all that matters

 

The thing with mods is you change things to suit your own tastes, no matter what bike. . I changed a fair bit on my RS but no doubt lots of people wont like my mods... latest being the exhaust and now (not on pic) a red clutch cable clamp.. I prefer something other than bog standard however old.



Ohh and carbon hugger .....

 

To be fair Dave, I think the SE takes the modifications better but if I had another T100, with spoked wheels I would probably leave as much standard as possible, apart from the suspension and the indicators oh and the rear light!

Haha! Most of it.... I think I enjoy that part nearly as much as riding it....

 

I disagree, they’re not the real thing and not a rare collectors item, they’re a pastiche which IMO gives the owners complete freedom to do their own thing.

I like the mods, it makes what’s a bit of an old mans bike look more contemporary and cool.

 

I know they’re not the real thing that’s why I said they’re trying to copy classic bikes and they’re certainly not a rare collectors item.

As my last sentence “That said it’s your bike and if you like it that’s all that matters “

The 60’s styling is what some modern Triumphs are trying to emulate and Triumph have done a fair job and then trying to make a bike look cool

WTF is cool

 

The whole point of a modern classic for me is a stylish bike with modern technology that rides well. If owners want to modify it that is up to them, what ever makes you happy. Some mods I will like and others I won't, but it is not my bike so actually is does not matter what I think.....
