Triumph Thunderbird Sport Won't Start

Compression has been tested,
Unless it's jumped a tooth timing is the same as the day I bought it
there isn't a vacum tap

These problems are really frustrating, feel for you mate.

 

Plugs are getting wet

 

Define air if you mean an air leak checked by spraying wd40

 

Checked exhaust is clear

 

It's the most unreliable motorcycle I have ever owned. Once it fires it runs and handles like a dream.
But unfortunately that doesn't out weigh the fact you can't plan to use it as it just won't start when you need it.

 

Have you checked TCI?

Have you checked the fuses?
Transistor Controlled Ignition unit. Just a guess, it may not have one.

 

To be honest I've not checked the fuses with the engine spinning over and having sparks at the plugs. But I will check later

 

Think I'm going to break it for spares.

 

Just take it to a favoured bike mechanic for diagnosis rather than throwing in the towel and breaking it mate

 

They are very desirable bikes dont break it ( not sure if your joking).

Honesty is always the best policy lol.
Going to price the parts up over the weekend and look into breaking it .
