Heres the result of the survey,I asked 100 of my customers (aged between approx 30-70) the following

I Showed them a picture of Rossi in his racing leathers..only 8 people recognized him (included in that 8 a few of them said is that Rossi? obvously they had heard his name but didn't know what he looked like)..
looks like i was correct in saying the majority of non bikers woudn't recognize him..sorry @HughJarse :p

Some folk thought he was Marquez, Pedrosa and Lewis Hamilton!!

I then Showed them a picture of Barry Sheen (not in his leathers ) 37 people recognized him, which again came as no surprise

Some folk thought he was James Hunt, David Essex, Ozzy Osborne:eek:!! And Sidney Devine:eek::eek:!!!!

I then asked them to name any motorbike racer from the past or the present 52 people named Barry Sheen (15 of them didn’t recognize him in the picture though)

    9 people said Carl Fogarty
    8 people said Rossi
    3 people said Guy Martin
    3 people said Marquez
    2 people said joey Dunlop
1 person said Steve Hislop (although they stayed near him in Hawick)
    1 person said Pedrosa
    1 person said Lewis Hamilton!o_O
    1 person said Nigel Mansell!!o_O

So it's pretty obvious from this that the vast majority of non bikers havn't a clue who any motorbike racer is apart from Barry Sheen

Great show all round, the slow old fox, GOAT?(No way, sorry even tho I am a fan) , still ended up best Yamaha, shame for Quartaro as he would have shook things up. Also Miller, seat comes off ffs.

I will have to try this next race. Only just watched Moto 2.

Two cracking races so far. I'm hoping that the big one follows suit

Cracking race. I felt sorry for Rins. It looks like the Suzuki could be up there this year

Dunno about anyone else but I wasn’t overly impressed with the Quest coverage of the gp highlights. I thought the camera work wasn’t great, kept getting helicopter noise coming through on the trackside microphones, and the commentators lacked knowledge (whoever they were).
On the upside I thought Rossi rode a pretty good race coming through from 14th to 5th and it would be unfair not to give Suzuki a shout, and great to see Cal pushing for the podium strongly. Shame it all got a bit political with the protest over the Ducati and it’s aero swingarm.
