Just watching a new episode of the series. Can anyone on here tell me if they like the look of the massive front wheel Paulie seems to love. Personally I hate it.
What do you mean some shite i think the only one that came close to being reasonable was the Yankees bike, there where one or two that had some of the right elements but the old man and Paul both need reporting to the taste police...but snr has at last realised that he needs to sell usable bikes in this latest episode....and at least they have stopped trying to get them to shout at each other...but the poor cousin now gets the brunt of the bullying....some of Scott Pilgrims stuff is quite good but why he makes the bike guys into performing seals i dont know.
Gave up watching that show a long time ago - daft looking bikes that would be horrible to ride and the pointless arguing that you just know was stoked up by script or by the producers. I do remember the My Name is Earl bike they made had some nice paint but was shocked at how the guy that played Randy in that show was so rude to everyone and about the bike. He clearly did not want to be there.
I also do not like the look. That show is about the family drama and not motorcycles. If that is what I won't to watch, I'll watch a soap opera with good looking women!
You forgot one point...they would have to take a hospital break half way through because they would have knocked the crap out of each other.
Bear in mind that they don't do corners, so handling isn't a priority. The closest they came to true culture was when they passed the section of the supermarket that stocks yoghurt, and their concept of style is to motorcycle design what Cyril Smith was to hang-gliding.... And it becomes a masterpiece of engineering!
Their 'specials' bikes are show bikes commissioned by corporate types that don't ride or to commemorate events (the firebike was tribute to NYFD who died on 11/9). Personally like a Saxon. The firestorm in particular
I loved that show. I actually went to OCC and bought the shirt and I still drink from the thermal mug every day I bought, 13 years after i bought it. The attention to detail on the bikes was amazing, you would have had to make an eight hour special on every bike to get to show the little details they put into them. You didn't get to see those on the show. They wern't great 'bikes', but the were great pieces of art. Much better than a cow sliced in two in formaldahyde, or someone's unmade bed. The drama made it fun to watch, and the smashing up stuff was all for camera, but better TV than the celeb shite that seems to be on every channel I did get a bit silly at the end, but all TV ends up going OTT to keep the viewers after a dozen series of the same thing. MY NAME IS MrO, AND I LIKED OCC.
I only dislike the big front wheel. I still watch the program but that huge front wheel looks ridiculous to me
Yes Russel from the uk his stuff is way cleaner way cooler way more rideable mad haircut into the bargain what’s not to like
It’s old hat now never fails to amaze when programmes that were good at one point disappear, then years later expect the same audience and admiration they once had boring shit nowadays imho.
