    Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie and considering exporting a 955i to use in the Canary Isles but have a problem with storage access to my basement which has a door width of 600mm. I am trying to avoid structural alteration to the doorway if possible, which will entail structural mods.

Love the history of Triumph and the great help and support you guys are to each other on the forums. Apologies for the unusual nature of the question.

The width of the 955 seems to be 725mm at the handlebars, which could be turned at an angle possibly to clear the doorframe surround, it looks as if the fairing is less than 600, but what about the mirrors, do they spring in or rotate.? Essentialy can you manouver the bike through a 600mm gap ?

Could any 955i riders help with a few quick measurements please. ?

    Appreciate any help

There are bike moving trolleys available, amongst the many available there is one where you put the centre stand down onto the trolley and away you go as long as your headstock can be turnef to about an angle of 45 degrees it looks as though it may fit. Check you motorcycle trolleys in Google, there are videos of trolleys in action on Youtube

I'd have thought taking a hefty bike like a 955 through a narrow doorway and down a flight of stairs (you didn't say how many) would be a bit hairy. As well as coming back up again.
There's enough fail video's on you tube of people just trying to get bikes into trailers.
That said,if your OK about doing it then fair play.
Can't think how you'd make the bike narrower though.

    Hi.

What model 955i is it? as there are several models which use the 955i engine.

I have an 03 Daytona, and the widest part of the fairing is 550mm approx. not sure how easy it would be to manoeuvre the bars in. Backing the bike in and getting the bars in first my be an option.

Also the mirrors do fold in.
