    RIP John.
You must have saved the riding/driving public millions £’s over the years and educated quite a few of us.

I must admit I’ve been just as confused by his manuals as well as they were brilliant, that doesn’t sound like I’m a big fan.
    But I am
The reality was the man a genius be all and end all.

    God rest your soul.

BSA Singles all the way to Triumph Triples and Fours. Saved me a fortune and taught me so much, even if I couldn't do the job myself I knew what was needed so the garages couldn't fob me off. Surely we all have at least one if his books somewhere. Genius.
    RIP.

Cut my teeth on a Vauxhall Viva way back when - Haynes manual was a must.
