I haven't had a bike for 15 plus years . The last one was a ZX9R so this one will be a big change in pace but now a little older I am very much looking forward to the whole two wheel experience again . Its a 1969 T120r import a year younger than myself , its complete basket case so will take a while to get the wheels spinning again.
Thanks , here's a couple of pics . Since picking up two weeks ago I have already stripped the engine .
Welcome, Tibster. At least your basket case can be sorted out - eventually. However, the basket cases that inhabit this forum are - mostly - totally beyond redemption. Having said that, they are friendly, knowledgeable and generally quite helpful, and they do like a nice rebuild story to follow when not playing with their crayons. I once had a '69 Bonnie and, if the rose tinted jobbies aren't leading me astray, then, when completed you will have a most excellent (and valuable!) motorcycle. Enjoy!
Hi n welcome, enjoy the restoration. Avoid repro parts as most are rubbish and refurb as many orig parts as you can.
Thanks ,I think I will put a pic or two up in the projects section as i am sure there will be some questions along the way .
In fact one of my first questions does anyone have a spare set of sliders as mine are split with rust
Welcome buddy Enjoy your project. I am sure once you have finished it and when you stand there and admire her.....the happiness and satisfaction you would feel, nothing will come close to that
Tipster You will have a few late nights with that little baby. But welcome to the Family. Regards Joe.
