It really doesn't surprise me that this is starting to happen. Cuts to police budgets means less time can be spent on chasing these scrotes. I think good on them for doing this, as at least somebody can help in the fight against bike thieves.

These groups go out to recover stolen bikes and deter them being stolen in first place, but I've heard they are having problems with people wanting to sign up purely to get stuck in to the little scrotes. Which they know they can't allow as the police will then have to stop all of them from going out.

Though I'm sure there groups out there doing exactly that, but because the scrotes won't go to the police, they aren't known and will keep doing it. Until such a time as a scrote gets more than a beating...
