OK Double D may take on it is:

It’s simple, Dainese is an Italian Company.
Italy is a member of the EU.
It’s another bluff by the EU, they’re trying to get us to buy into something (Anti-floating sleeve adjustment) that we don’t know what it really is, want or need

Perhaps figgywold or splinter could explain

Why do I feel like I've been conned in some way! I'm sure anti floating sleeve adjustment is EXACTLY what I need!

Anyway cos it's sportsbikeshop I figured it's worth a punt as if it doesn't fit or whatever it can go back. If it fits fine I shall report back on the benefits of anti floating sleeve adjustment.

The anti floating sleeve mechanism was invented just before the 2nd world war by the famous Italian fashion designer Maria Antonella, the sleeve was developed for the uniform of the Italian army in the early ‘40’s.

I looked up the specification for the DAINESE CARVE MASTER GTX JACKET.
    It's even worse! It has:

    Inserti in pelle bovina
    Idraflap front closing

I feel we all need an Idraflap in our lives!:eek:

Looks like they've all gone. It was a cracking price for Dianese quality. J&S still have them, but only £100 saving.

Makes me feel better! I'm gonna order Trousers to as they have money off although not as much. That's as long as the jacket fits.

Go to Amazon.com and enter - to see many choices by this company. I like the high collar for keeping the wind off my neck...

Ok quick report back. I couldn't really afford it justify a 600-1000 pound gortex jacket so seeing this at 400 thought worth a punt. Gotta say it fits me well. I have long arms and it's perfect even lent forward on the bike.

First time out today and it was 9.5 degrees according to the bike, felt cooler to me. Was hoping it would rain but sods law stayed dry. I only had a t shirt on underneath as wanted a sort of base setting to see how it felt at speed on the motorway. It was fine and with proper base layers etc I'm sure it will keep me warm in much colder weather.

As for the anti sleeve thingy still none the wiser!
So seems I got a bit of a bargain, unfortunately Mrs can't see that!
