Hello LJ here from N yorkshire originaly now Norfolk . ! I have had several triumphs over the past 30 or so years, but after a 20 year gap i have got back in the Triumph camp with a Project Triple based loosely around a 900 trophy from 1996.
Long way to go but its mechanically good with just 30k sedate miles as a retired chaps tourer neglected and abandoned in a collapsed shed dug it out sold all the bacon off it and started gathering the minimum of items to build a stripped down naked bike, currently on with the chopped off rear sub frame. Trying to make something more pleasing to the eye.
It will be single seat clip ons one headlight a kind of naked trident in looks, undecided on exhausts yet but leaning towards the stock front pipes with two silencers at this stage for the balanced look, but i may change my mind on things as i go on.
Looking for help inspiration and opinions and to help others if i can, i am no new comer to modifying bikes and cars but this is my first venture into the post meriden Triumphs and a welcome break from the Japanese bike that i have been around for the past 20 years or more.

    Welcome!

First stop for inspiration and ideas - if you haven't already been here - is :-

    https://www.caferacerkits.co.uk/news/2016/10/23/crk-triumph-cafe-racer

Their stuff looks the business - well thought out and well made, and the sound of a Hinckley triple through a pair of no-cat pipes and open mega's is just wonderful. And, although this stuff is all available as kit form, there's still so much room for your own personal preferences and ideas, not just in the finished colour scheme either!

Look forward to seeing the results!

See the CRK stuff it looks good gear , i am looking to try and emulate their rear frame part myself.
I have cut and shut the Original trophy frame but to add box sections to the original framework it starts to look exactly what it is a cut and shut rear frame section.
My idea is to make one up myself to fit a generic hump back cheapo cafe racer seat which looks in proportion to what i want with the stock trophy tank.

I am aiming for something on the lines of this bike but with clip ons, Not settled on the tank yet i want to keep the stock tank but might get a bonavile or thunderbird tank. In a fit of ill thought out enthusiasum i chopped off the frame coil brackets the idea was to get a different tank initialy, but now im undecided .
Stock tank is a big mother i will admit, any ideas what make model tank could be a good looker on the triumph without doing any chanel mods to sit round the big backbone on the Trophy frame.
