Here is a picture of the bike, really thinking of putting a deposit down for them to hold it until I can sell mine but I have no idea how long they would hold it for, I know there is no way it will stick around too long for the otd price they gave me.

Another video of my Ninja, I've added fresh non ethanol gasoline along with fuel stabilizer and letting it run long enough to cycle throughout the fuel system, still need to charge the battery though.

Street twin and street scrambler share same engine and they are a hoot to ride, very agile and forgiving, great fun on country roads and through towns, bags of character and great sounding twins. The only drawback is they run out of puff over 80mph which is not great overtaking on faster roads. They are comfortable to ride all day long with a neutral upright riding position and with all that lovely torque you can be relaxed about what gear to be in as it pulls from anywhere. The 2019 model has 10 more HP which I think will make a difference to the top end power. Lovely motorcycle in my view and recommended.

Thanks, I noticed that it says you are from Bedford, is that the one in VA? I don't ride that fast and only get on the interstate for a short jaunt and then get off, the interstates around here have way too many accidents so rather not take my chances... it's hard enough being seen as it is when your on two wheels.

There isn't anything wrong with the BMW but it looks practically the same as any run of the mill naked sport bike and like someone else had a BMW mentioned that it's practically a sowing machine. I would think that the Triumph's came out in 2016 that at least some of the bugs have been worked out at least by now and for the most part didn't change a whole lot for 2019 other than the crank and the front brakes and you could upgrade it to floating if you really wanted too but with the bike including a 2 yr unlimited mileage warranty that's something I would wait until after that runs out.

I also found a website where you can put in your height and inseam size and choose the bike and it gives you the measurements on how you fit on the bike, if it's actually correct the Ninja 650 and BMW is very close spec wise in their riding positions so the Triumph would be more of a change for me.

Isn't that the truth. I'm not here to talk politics or even about the border wall but the real underlying issue is that they cannot make decisions that will suit either party and it's either one side or the other and there is hardly any compromise from either side.

I will contact him today or tomorrow and see what we can work out and how much for the length of time needed for them to place a hold and then worst case if mine doesn't sell I can trade at that point and now isn't exactly the time to be selling but would be better in a month or so and people will be buying then when tax returns come out.

Thanks, a lot of places around here has names back to the UK which is why I asked.

I think I might have to pass on the Triumph at least for now until mine sells but hard to say how long that will take. I messaged the salesman and he said they will not accept a down payment to hold and since the bike is substantially marked down they could not take mine in on trade but he could for a 2019 model. I replied by telling him that I wasn't upset which is why I asked but also the 2019 model is over $9,000 msrp and after everything it becomes $10,000 to $10,500 at the end and I didn't want to finance at this time. I still can't imagine them not taking a down payment though.

I didn't say this to him but basically I want to sell my bike and then upgrade for another $2,500 or so and I don't really have to do anything at this time and can wait which sounds at the end of the year might be better and get a '19 model then.

So we'll see if mine sells or not. I have it advertised in various places but now isn't a great time to sell but that will change in a month where people will be buying then.

I have a BMW F800 in my garage... though mine is the ST rather than the R (UK weather being what it is, the fairings make for a more comfortable ride!). I can't fault it, but the community here is great. LittleAde and a couple of others here have also come here from the 'dark side' so even if you do go down the German route you will still be welcome here - we all here love bikes!

I posted mine on CL last night and already have received two text messages that are obvious scams... One of them said his mom was is the one interested in the bike and that she's at work to email her at this address which is a hotmail account, the other just asked me if it was still up for sale. I looked up both numbers and I found the second one was flagged as an unsafe caller just a day ago, the other with the email thing I can usually pick out the scams and they want my email address to spam it.

Also I've found the scammers seem to be most active on there shortly after posting. What are the odds that you find someone really interested right after posting? Also if someone was really interested they would ask specific questions about the bike not just if it's still up for sale ya know?

I was not born yesterday either.
