I have been told that the 1970 T100C tank should be painted Jacaranda purple with a 2" center stripe of silver with 1/8” gold pinstripes where the stripe meets the purple. I have seen pictures of this and it is pretty nice. I have also seen the tanks just painted the Jacaranda purple with no stripes. In the book “Triumphs in America” the 1970 T100C is called out as Jacaranda Purple only with no mention of the silver stripe. The Daytona is called out as Jacaranda Purple and Silver. The other T100s listed also have both colors called out. So my question is which is correct for the T100C? Was there a difference between American bikes and the ones in the UK or the ones that were made for export to other places than the US? I want to make sure I get it right but am not sure what right is at this time. The bike that I am getting has the 1969 Lincoln Green paint on the tank. I am sure there is already a thread on this but I couldn’t find it. Thanks

I am good at asking questions..problem is not always getting the right answers. LOL. I am a carpenter by trade. Measure twice, cut once . I will ask so many questions that it will drive folks a bit crazy. But I want the bike to be right. Thanks again.
