Hello all, my first post for a while! I'm looking for my first Triumph, it's a 1963 6T 'Thunderbird' reg. number: JME 122B. I'm pretty sure I sold it in 1992 at the 'Enfield Pageant of motoring'. I would like to at least know it's whereabouts and/or if it may be for sale? Thanks

It's not on the DVLA register.

That is wierd! Last time I looked it was? Several years ago I should think. Maybe it's gone overseas?

Although I’ve just noticed the reg doesn’t seem to match the year and model you’re looking for?

Probably a '63 model first registered in 1964 - the 'B' suffix is correct for that year.
The 1963 'A' suffix is/was a fairly rare beast as it was only used when non-suffixed reg numbers ran out.
Had a few 'B' and 'C' reg bikes when I first started.

Okay .... who said 'Old Fart'??
    What??!!!! All of you??:sob:
    Twats!!:p

It was more that the plate came up with a 350cc bike and I thought the Thunderbird was a 500 or 650

    Ah!
Thunderbird was indeed a 650cc engine.
Someone somewhere has got a bit confused - and it's not us!
Mind you, thinking back to 1964 just proves that my memory is not as good as I like to think it was! And that's before I properly discovered bikes, girls and alcohol.:grinning:

Oh, Glyn! You are a constant source of disappointment to us herein:(. Not only that, but you are also (okay, we'll accept inadvertently), by you own admission, lowering the average age of the loonies:grinning: ... err ... members of this august forum.
However, it is Christmas:party:, and being the season of good will to all, your forgiveness is guaranteed:relieved:. Not that we give a bugger anywayo_O. Not really!:)
