How do you ride? Dirt, street, dirty streets, tires are like shoes pick the one for where you’re going. I am moving from the Torrance to PR 4 GT’s since I am riding streets only.

Good point from Traxx, well made. I recall recently reading a bloke with the same bike (and on his 3rd set) who had settled on Michelin PR4 Trails as the best road tyre with a nod to the rough.

The PR 4 Trail will be the only thing that fits the front for now.

Just got a new set of Metzelers - it makes cornering a lot smoother! Both sets I’ve had have gone off profile long before the tread has worn anywhere near the legal limit. I got 6K out of my first set and 8K out of the second. The only oddity I got was a loud knocking at 95mph running with loaded panniers and top box, which another rider told me was due to the tyres reverberating against the panniers - it disappears as you go faster. Beware though, as in this config the bike becomes unstable at 120mph - all done on unlimited autobahn I hasten to add!

Why does it always autocorrect Tourance to Torrance?

Autocorrect? Apple and Microsoft! Torrance, California outside LA. Once bought a tuned small block Chevy from there......

I know you might be sorted for tyres but on my Gen1 I was glad to get shot of the Metzeler Tourance and change to conti trail attack 2. This made the bike handle so much better and more grip in all weathers. Friends that had the same bike and rode mine agreed that it was a good tyre. I’ve now got a Gen3 and binned the Metzeler Tourance Next for the new conti trail attack 3, now I’ve only got 400 miles on the new rubber but you can tell the difference from the Metzeler for the better.

Sadly my tyres look fairly new (only had the bike a couple of months) but it is inspirational to hear that the Conti Trial Attack 3's are worth considering as I have a set of Conti's on my '96 Fireblade and I find them more than enough for all styles of riding and they give me a great mileage to boot.
