Unexpectedly found some funds to buy a new bike last July. Found a leftover '17 Street Scrambler (Korosi Red and Frozen Silver) in Iowa, rented a truck and headed out. Only got about 1700 miles on it this summer, but enjoyed every single mile (even 98 degrees with 98% humidity--only time I noticed the heat off the high pipes.) Love the bike and look forward to many years of riding it.
Don't want anyone to lose sleep due to lack of photos! Currently running with the stock rack and a Givi rack installed. Won't most of the time (one or the other,) but wanted to ride in spite of how it looked.
I've been telling my wife for years that I wanted one new bike in my life. This one is it and I could not be happier with my choice. Had been riding an '01 SV 650 that I really liked, but this bike is just better for the kind of riding I like to do (backroads, middle-of-nowhere) and so much smoother. Only thing I miss about the SV is the engine braking.
Good morning and welcome in. I know what you mean about the heat and humidity being from Mississippi! Most of this group are across the pond and have to deal with it in the extreme! Hope you enjoy it here and love that new bike. I know I love my 06 Scrambler to death.
I really like the international flavor of the forum, but it is nice to see some a bit closer to home as well. I suspect the lack of dealer support in some areas has scared off some buyers--closest one to me is two-hours away. Haven't spent much time in Mississippi, so can only imagine the heat you have to deal with in the summer.
