I tend to find my 13plate bonneville quite top end revvy which I dont need. I'd much prefere usable torque low down that would ride with a nice push forward instead. Would cams and a remap work or is that not the way to do it? Any body with any experiences?
Lowering the gearing would give you the bottom/mid range boost you want, and a hell of a lot easier and cheaper than new cams and a remap :upyeah:
But the flip side would be that the engine would be spinning too quick. I do prefer a more relaxed ride a lot of the time.
Had one and saw the light! They're a lot of money to go very slow although the torque, the torque the bloody torque was wow!
Thunderbird 1600/1700 : Never want for torque again  Far easier to ride than you'd think given the weight and length. Try one, you might be surprised. It's my next bike as soon as I can sort out what to do with my America.
Yep, I've ridden a few now and think it's an amazing bike and it's my next ride. Just need to sort out what I'm doing with the America so probably not 'til next year now.
My little Rocket 111 has 300ftlb of torque, I'm afraid the thunderbird is just a young pretender.:upyeah:
