Hi - I have a 2017 T120, about to store for winter. Now, a question about maintenance charging; I have an Optimate 4 charger, comes with two different types of attachment cables, one a crocodile-clip type, the other with O-ring type screw-on connector, I guess either one will work. Thing is though, do I disconnect the battery from the bike completely, or can I charge it with the batter connected?? Thanks in advance guys!
I've twice attempted to fit my Oxford optimiser to my new Bobber but the in line fuse keeps blowing. I bought a new in line fuse cable but same thing. I attached the red clip to the live terminal and the black clip to the battery earth connected to the bike frame. appreciate some answers / advice. thanks guys
New lead mate. As I said, connected red clip to red batt terminal and black clip to the earth strap connected to bike body. ( Not battery earth terminal) . never had this happen before, fitted to many previous bike
Think about it ! One plausible reason could be that IF the system is POSITIVE ground you are connecting the charger positive to the same point (frame) and shorting the charger out ? I presume that the charger fuse is blowing ? My best guess so far !
