Each to their own i suppose Glyn, more importantly have you got one of these for your indicators, i already have one on my Yamaha, its so good i got another and fitted it to the thruxton today, its only 12 quid and easy to fit, could save your life one day when you leave an indicator on, and a car pulls out in front of you…… i wired it off my rear indicators and its under my seat for now but will be mounting it behind one of the side panels…. well worth the little bit of time to fit one of these. If you leave an indicator on it will bleep after 10 flashes or for how many times you set it to flash.
Yes will work with LEDs Glyn, its a fantastic gadget, fits any 12v indicator, heres the link where i bought both of mine, my father has one too. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261657831386?ul_noapp=true free delivery too…...
Nice bike Martin, i reckon that got to be near Holme moss, hade edge/holmbridge area…… how you finding that screen, does it make a difference?
Screen makes a little bit of difference but not a huge amount! One pic taken near Appletreewick and the other at Ysbyty Ifan.
Has anyone on the forum bought a 2018 Thruxton R in Green? Would be interested to see a few photos in that colour.
Green on the Thruxton R was not available when I bought mine, looked lovely on the standard Thruxton though
Spacefrog ,I’ll be taking the standard smoked screen off mine if you’re after one, as I’ve bought the nose one for mine. It is better than nothing but anything above about 65 you still feel the wind blast
Strange, I've seen a green R in the flesh and somehow it doesn't look near as good as the green standard Thruxton which I thought was gorgeous. Don't know why and just my opinion, but just doesn't seem to suit it.
I think it’s just about the difference of the Retro look. Compared to the Standard the R doesn’t quite look as original because of all the Gold and modern bits bolted on,so the traditional colours probably suit the S better , whereas the modern Matt and pearl white suit the R better
I guess so, I think the R's look gorgeous as well. I'm not too bothered by the gold forks etc. it's just the standard green one was the best looking of the lot. I think if I ever get another bike now it will probably be a Thruxton. Woburn had a nice customised white one with a high level exhaust the other week.
Hey Glyn, i would be interested to see a picture when you get it fitted… do you mean you got the actual triumph bikini fairing, or is it an after market one…..?
