Hi everyone, I’ve a Honda Pan European and am fed up with a) taking off the fairing to do almost anything and after a 0mph tumble after moving 1 degree away from the perpendicular b) picking up the damn thing then c) replacing the mirrors. At about 300kgs it’s a beast. A comfy one to be sure though...!
I like the luggage carrying capacity for storage when away from the bike and wondered about whether it’s possible to fit Givi or similar hard luggage on a T120?
The T120 sounds like a great bet being lighter and lower than the ST1100 is currently, I just feel I need to know about anyone’s experience of being able to fit hard luggage......???

Now why didn’t I think of that...?
Probably the same reason I bought the Pan European :)
    I’ll give them a try.
I’m kinda hoping someone will let me know what a great bike the T120 is compared to the Honda.....

Welcome Malcolm. fwiw I've just spent the day riding a T120 Black* 230-odd miles round the Fens, the Wolds, Rutland and the Welland Valley, on 'A' roads, 'B' roads, gnarly back-roads and a bit of dual carriage way. It's a cracking machine no doubt, and looks the bollox, but for practical luggage carrying I'd opt for my Tiger 800 if push came to shove.

*borrowed while my Tiger is in for a 12k service.

Hi guys, many thanks for your welcome and input, I love the cartoon!

Tell me more about the Tiger.....

I had thought about one but never got around to looking. The Tiger does seem to have a good reputation so I’ll maybe have to take a test on one of those and a T120 if I can.

.......anyone fancy a Honda Pan European....??? Only slight low speed damage......to both sides.....

    :)

Welcome to the forum!! I had nearly the same exact concerns with my 2013 Trophy SE, but I loved riding the bike. In my case, my legs just became unreliable (trick knees), so I got a 2014 T-Bird Commander which is much easier to handle. I can't help on the hard luggage. I've always mounted soft bags when I needed them and then took them off. Now I have a sidecar on the T-Bird which probably qualifies as 'hard luggage.' I can store a ton of stuff in there, including the lovely wife. :grinning: I highly recommend one.
