Hi, This is to introduce myself as a newcomer to your forum. My name is David and I have been riding bikes on and off for 50 years. Lately I have been riding a Suzuki V Strom DL650 for about 5 years - it's a budget bike but great for taking my son as a pillion, out and about touring, and to his various scout functions. He is 17 and mildly autistic/aspergers, but he loves going on the back of the bike. However we are in Central London and, although the V Strom is so good around the suburbs and further afield, I find it a handful (jerky low speed fuelling, clunky gearbox, heavy clutch, a bit top heavy) in the urban setting so....I have just bought a 2017 Street Triple 765 S!! This is mainly for me to ride solo, and I have wanted an ST for years, so I am really looking forward to going and picking it up from Suffolk but....I am not going to risk it on the off road parking just outside my garden wall, even anchored down like the other bike and, as sheds are impossible to rent or buy around here, I am in the process of building the foundations of a bike garage just inside the garden gate, so I can wheel the ST into the locked up area. The vendor has very kindly offered to keep the bike in his garage for a few weeks, until I get the concrete slab sorted, but I can't tell you how frustrating it is knowing I've got this beautiful bike waiting for me, but having to wait before I can ride it! So I thought I'd put this waiting time to good use, and earth my frustration, by joining your Triumph Forum, and absorbing some of that experience and expertise that you guys share with each other. Cheers, David
Hello David and welcome to the forum The others will be along shortly once they’ve had their meds and they’ve settled down
Hi David, and welcome in as frustrating as it is, it sounds like you're definitely doing the right thing there
Welcome aboard David, hope you enjoy the forum and get the shed sorted asap so you can rightfully have your new steed close at hand which I'm sure you're gonna love.
Welcome David. I did a few hundred miles not far from you this weekend on a Street3 RS on some superb A and B roads in Essex (Epping Forest, the Rodings, Saffron Walden etc) and Hertfordshire. That RS is awesome on those roads mate. Enjoy the ride.
David. Welcome to the Family. And hope you get sorted soon. The Sprint is a phenominal machine. In my humble opinion the best sports tourer out there by a mile. Ride Free. Joe.
Welcome to the madhouse you should fit right in. When you get you're bike we will need photos it keeps the inmates happy .Tucker
Welcome in mate, that is a peach of of motor you have there, very wise to sort the security out before bringing it home as the thieving scumbags would find that very attractive. Once you have it please post some photos just to keep the inmates happy ... oh and it really doesn't matter what colour it is despite what some will say!
