    Hi Y'all,

Yup, LIVERPOOL, but no Abbey Road crossing here in this one...

Longtime licensed since 1984 motorcycle rider/owner (1982 Yamaha SECA 400 - still have it) and a new Pacific Blue 2017 Triumph Trophy SE picked up on October 8th, 2018, then had an operation and can't ride her until May 1st (when annual registrations start around here)...

I have many add-on to install over the winter to make her even better in my MANCAVE heated garage.

Hope to learn a lot about the Triumph brand and share useful information to keep our babies purring down the road.

As we say in aviation, "Keep the shiny side up, and the oily side down"...

That's the dealership's "NEW OWNER show area", which I traveled 15 hours to (one day, 860 miles), where they had her ready to introduce her to me properly for the first time; and went over all her features there before I loaded her up for the trip home.

My good ole 1982 Yamaha SECA 400 and this new Trophy are enough for me.

The next new vehicle would be an RV with a rear garage area for the motorcycles to go in...after selling the house and becoming a nomad of the North American Continent.

    Not that I know of...

...I'm puppy sitting BENTLEY for my daughter, and couldn't leave him home for three days, like I can my two smart cats.

Don't be jealous of the garage where I took the picture of my bike (posted earlier) - that's at the dealership where I picked it up.

Albeit, my garage is still pretty big (4 car: ~ 8.5 meters x ~14.5 meters: ~27' x ~48') with a natural gas heater suspended from the ceiling and a smart TV out there in one of the back corner workshop areas...

The garage is why I bought this house when I retired from the US Army, all my stuff is inside in the winter up here, and it's bigger than the apartment I grew up in. I already have a full-size refrigerator (one drawer full of beer for my visitors), wondering where I should put the coffee maker and microwave oven now?

Visitors, often other married neighbor guys who sneak over when they are supposed to be doing yard work outside (especially on rainy days) and we set up the camp chairs and watch the game...until their wives come looking for them, LOL

If these guys would just get their own motorcycles, they could temporarily "escape" that way, eh! Be like, "LET's RIDE Wild Hogs"....

...then they could use the excuse of coming over to work on their bikes....

Nice: Looks more like a Showroom/Museum mix - mine isn't that nice looking these days, too many projects stacked up...on a ping pong table in the middle of my shop area, and bigger ones out in the front bays.

My Yamaha is getting restored, hot tub fixed, snow blower prep for winter...then there's all the new stuff to put on my Trophy...

Wrong Liverpool pal. As Tigger sang, "I'm the only one". But welcome all the same

    This is my Trophy.

There are many like it, but this one is mine.

    It is my life.

I must master it as I must master my life.

Without me my Trophy is useless.

Without my trophy, I am useless.

I must ride my Trophy true.

I must ride smarter than the motorists who is trying to kill me.

I must pass him, before he passes me.

    I will.

My Trophy and I know that what counts on the road, is not the rubber we burn, the noise of our mufflers, or the smoke we make.

We know that it is the miles that count. We will ride.

My Trophy is human, even as I am human, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its brakes and it throttle. I will keep my Trophy clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other.

    This is my Trophy.

There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Gunnery Sgt. Hartman: I will give you three seconds, exactly three fucking seconds, to wipe that stupid looking grin off your face, or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull-fuck you! One of the best films ever. Gunny passed away this year, I think. RIP Gunny.

I can think of more entertaining FMJ (Uncle Sam's Misguided Children) quotes, which probably aren't appropriate for this forum...

My fav military movie quotes tend to be along the lines of TOP GUN, "Goose, it's time to buzz the tower"....

I have an American friend who went through Marine boot camp and said that everything - EVERYTHING - that was shown in the boot camp sequences in FMJ he'd seen happen, with the sole exception of the "choke yourself on my hand" scene.

Yep, R. Lee Ermey died in April of this year. RIP - and God help anyone that disturbs him.
