    folks fitting new shock to Street Twin should I grease the fittings bushes etc or not

    Personally I would albeit the flex is supposed to be in the bushing. However......use silicone grease (same as dielectric for your battery posts) as it will not rot the rubber......and while you are at it service the sidestand switch with the same.

    I have always done mine. In fact I think I no I know dab a little grease on all fittings I replace just a smudge. I find that it protects and is easier to remove later. And I do believe your bushes should have a metal insert.

    I’ve a slippery habit of greasing everything so yes from me but........
    Please use silicone grease as ordinary rots any rubber quick unless it’s fuel rubber

    Any lube is better than no lube, remember children, there is always time for lubrication.

    As a self confessed mechanical idiot when I type in Silicone Grease at Halfords I get these, which is best or neither

    Neither, and if you cant find silicone grease try for red rubber grease which is safe in contact with rubber .......
