I forgot to add, the Street Cup has a 1"fat bar centre, with standard 7/8" handle bars, so the Street Twin bars WILL fit, but you will have to use the Street Twin risers and top clamp. I believe one of the Speedtriple`s had one piece bars, but with the same fatbar middle, and the grip / lever ends being standard 7/8", so these may be a better option.
Hi everyone, newbie here - i found this thread after a specific search . Very interesting thread indeed and this covers one of my key considerations for when I am able to get a Triumph - hopefully not too long now . I am very much looking towards a Street Twin but also love the Street Cup look - I believe they are very similar bikes that share a lot in common - but really don’t fancy the lower position bars. I have sat on various models in the showroom. A couple of Qs please. I see in the posts that mention was made of swapping the seat also. Can I ask what the difference is between the seat of the Twin and the Cup? (apart from rear cowl) in particular is there any height difference? I am 6’2” and want to think things through thoroughly! Or any comfort difference? Also are the feet positions the same on both the Twin and the Cup? Any info would be really appreciated. Cheers
Hey, this is my Street cup at the mo, raised handlebars, changed mirrors, and changed seat. The seat I actually got cheap from the dealer, second hand, good enough for now. I actually changed the seat caus i'm regularly taking a pillion passenger, the original seat could take a passenger, with the cowel taken off, but a bit awkward. TBH this current seat is a bit of a fill in until I get something a little more stylish. One thing about this seat, it that it has raised the height a bit, which I really like. I'm just under 6 foot, and it's a good fit now. In terms of handle bar change, I found raising the bars made the bike so much easier to ride, centre of gravity and all that I guess.

The bar comes from another Triumph, cant remember which model. I basically just worked with the dealer to try some things out, but got it second hand, very cheap. They had to drill a couple of holes for the gear, but very easy, nothing big. I changed the mirrors as `i found the stock mirrors looked really big after the bars were raised, these were just third party, nothing too pricey. This seat is amazingly comfortable, bit higher and wider, my GF loves sitting on the back now! I'm looking into changing the seat again soon, just for aesthetic purposes. Currently looking into luggage options, paniers or smth similar if you guys have any recommendations. One of the best things about owning a bike like this is being able to toy with it On the whole I have been nothing but impressed with the actual bike, beautiful ride.
Hi Dobbo, The T100 seat will fit, but you will have to relieve the rear end of the seat skirt so as to avoid the rear mudgaurd. This is what i intend to do when i can find a used T100 seat. At the moment, i have one of Triumphs aftermarket "Bench" style seats, which are flat, and give good room for a pillion, and also raises the seat height by about an inch, BUT, BEWARE, these bench seats are more for style over comfort. When i took my wife on the back, after a an hour and a bit, i was feeling very uncomfortable, and had to stop and walk around for a minute to relieve cramp. Good luck when you buy the Cup.
Already have installed the Street Twin bars and risers I bought off this forum. I also recently changed the seat to a British Customs Slammer seat with tuck and roll pattern. It raised the seat up about 2" which I absolutely love. I still like the looks of the Clubman bars and will put the stock seat and cowl on from time to time but these two changes were huge comfort upgrades for me.
The Street Cup sits higher than the Street Twin and IMO would be more comfortable over the long haul for you. My setup above with the British Customs Slammer seat is about 3" taller in the seat than a stock Street Twin. The seat to pegs is also longer on the Street Cup (about 1.5") and only increases with a seat like mine.
Your bike looks superb and the changes you have made I think may suit me very well too. Thanks for the information - much appreciated. I will research British Customs parts now.
On the subject of increasing the seat to peg distance - I saw on a Triumph facebook group the other day that someone changed their Street Cup footpegs for those of a T120 and due to the design this effectively lowers the pegs an inch or more. More food for thought!
Useful little mod that’s easily reversible come sale time, just wonder what the gear change side looks like as the peg is much closer to the brake pedal in the above pics.

Actually Scott, I bought new wiring thinking I'd need it longer, but actually the leads on it were fine, so I got my money back, it's been fine ever since. The bars I used were off a street triple, with new risers. I'm not that handy, so I get the guys at the garage to put it all together for me.
Hi from Devon England,just joined.looking to change the bars on my Street Cup,and read this thread with interest,my question is do I havee to lengthen any of the cables,most look like they could be rerouted but but not sure about the brake line,any advice greatfully received.
I would expect if you raise the bars much at all you will need to extend the clutch cable (longer one from a Twin or Street Scrambler) and the brake lines as well. As reference look at British Customs handlebar kits and what they include. I am thinking of getting their pro taper kit.
