Hi all, I'm new to this forum but not to biking, having rode various bikes since my early teens. I'm in my 50's now and still enjoying the lifestyle. Only had my Speedmaster since 2014 after 15 years on a Harley and now looking to make a few more changes with advice from anyone out there that can help. I want to put half apes on my 2005 865 Speedie but just wondered if anyone else had done this and did you have to get the cables specially made or were you able to use standard ones from any other bike? We reckon I need about another 12 inches on the clutch cable as the one on my bike is a Thruxton standard length, (borrowed from my mate about 2 years ago and never replaced. I will get round to that, honest) and about 6 inches on the throttle cables. Brake hoses shouldn't be a problem as we can probably source something from his garage/shed but if anyone knows of suitable replacements I would be most grateful. Any advice on reliable cable suppliers if needed would be most welcome too.
