    Hi,

I have 2014 explorer with approx. 2k km on it and when I start off and have low revs I seem to find neutral a lot. Doesn't seem to happen if I reach about 3000 rpm before changing from 1st to 2nd. No probs with the other gear changes

    All city riding.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks
    allan

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Your bike's transmission will be a bit stiff as it is still quite new, you will most probally find that the more you ride it the better it becomes. Best suggestion is to take you time with the change up and make sure it goes in correctly.

Not sure what bikes you have had in the past but if it was a jap bike then it won't be as good

    Cheers

    Steve

When ive ridden my Dad's Explorer I found that its quite a big pull to get from 1st to 2nd.

Ive also thought it was a bit "notchy" all through the box but I have always found that with shaft drive bikes
