Having just ticked over 6k on my T120, it'll soon be time for replacement tyres (strangely enough, the front has worn worse than the rear).
I wasn't that impressed with the OE Pirellis, so I think I'll try something else. However, the only alternative I've come across is the Avon Storm 3D Ultra X-M and while I'm sure these are a good bet, I was wondering if anyone has tried anything else ? It's interesting that Triumph tyre selector thingy only recommends OE and the Avons.

Just fitted Avon Spirit ST's along with Street Twin cast wheels to my 2018 T100 and it has totally and completely transformed the bike.

So the Spirit is a tubeless tyre then ? If so, won't fit T120 as cast wheels not available (except horrendously expensive ones).

Just heard from Tyre Tec - they say it doesn't matter as the Spirit can be used with a tube as well, but surely the T120 rim isn't deep enough to hold what is usually a tubeless tyre ?
Also, as the Spirit is a successor to the Storm, why don't Triumph recommend it ?

You can fit tubes to tubeless tyres if you look at your original (awful) Phantoms they are marked up as tubeless. If you get shot of those spoked wheels its a triple win with a big saving in unsprung weight, easier puncture repair, better tyres. Believe me, the improvement is truly astounding. This is how the bike should have left the factory.

P.S. Got the original wheels/tyres up for sale. Only done 1,000 miles.

Quite like the idea of cast wheels, but I don't think there are any available, except as I said the specialist items costing many hundreds.
    Street Twin ones don't fit.
Reckon I'll have to stick with the chrome spokes ….

That's a shame as the ST wheels were a straight swap to the T100 and have made a huge difference. Each to his own, there will be someone who wants my originals for their ST as they prefer the look.

I've got Avon 3D on my Street Twin, and very happy with them. If they do tubeless then they are worth a punt imo.

That's something that had crossed my mind to do. I have a 2018 T100 also and would be interested in doing this. I take it the wheels are dealer supplied? Would you mind if I asked how much they are?? I also wouldn't mind seeing a photo of your bike :)

The wheels were bought on ebay, tyres were £250 including wheel change, bike totally transformed plus greatly improved peace of mind.

That looks good! I notice the wheels don't have the red stripe on that I've noticed on some. I guess it could be tape so is easy to remove. Thanks for putting a picture up. I'm also thinking of a top box so that's good to see.
