    Hello All
New to this group. I purchased a 2018 Street Tripple RS in April. Now have about 800 miles on it. Wondering if any one has experience with the bike. Had my 500 miles service done. Rode a couple hundred miles and have an oil leak out of the side cover front right area of the engine. Been waiting a couple weeks now for a gasket. Thanks for allowing me to join. Look forward to topics and discussions.

You shouldn't have an oil leak with < 1000 miles on the odometer. Maybe they messed up something while performing the 500 mile check?

Haha. I asked the dealer and they claim they did not touch. Actually called them before I took it back in and he said they toque the oil filter to the manufacture spec and maybe it was not sealed all the way. Not a spot of oil below the filter. And I have never seen a spec on torque a spin on oil filter. But maybe. Although automotive use the same style and it’s also spin till the seal makes contact and then plus 1.5 turns. Thanks for the reply

Welcome Polar. The oil leak should be sorted under warranty, and gaskets should take no more than a couple of days to arrive. Press your dealer for action. Tell them you a loan bike or a full replacement.
