Sods law has descended upon me over the past few months since I took delivery of my first bike a shiny black Street Twin. Having finally got the cast off my broken wrist I decided it was time for a ride. Bugger me (not an instruction) if I haven got a puncture in my rear tyre, only done 115 miles. Got bike to local tyre merchant, a non franchise tyre fitter, those stock tyres are crap and I wont fit a new ones I was told, okay what do you recommend, Bridgestone or better still Continental Road Attack 3's, okay its only money I'l take a set of those Coni's then. Three days later, your bike is ready Mr Repooh he said, one problem, oh yeh, I cant get a front tyre, unusual size Conti have not got any, will do next week. I rang Continental and then their importer and they are not getting any, anytime soon, told me not a common size and they sell very few, deep joy. After much interwebbing ordered a tyre from Germany, took a week to arrive and cost about a tenner less than UK, just had the twits fit it. And I have to say theses Conti Road Attack 3's have transformed the ride, way more responsive, corners much smoother and way less bumpy. I would highly recommend, subsequently seen the Man Cave dude also rave about them p.s the item that caused my puncture was a tiny piece of hard plastic (half the size of your fingernail) which managed to align itself with the small centre groove in the middle of the tyre, it only penetrated the tyre by a few millimetres to cause the puncture, what were the chances. p. p.s I have a stock front tyre with only 115 miles on it, whats it worth? (hoping £300 to pay for theses bloody Continentals Just when Mrs Repooh though I could not spend anymore money on biking, I showed her. Deep Joy
