Hi all just after a bit of advice, I've had a leak on my Daytona 600 and managed to trace it to the bottom cooling hose that go's from the radiator to the water pump it's been seeping from above where the jubilee clips are I think it's just the rubber getting old?? My question is could I replace it with a straight piece of hose with the same diameter ect just make it a bit longer so as not to kink the pipe?? Or do I have to get the original slight moulded oem part?? Which will be a lot more expensive thanks in advance!!

Have to say, whenever a problem pops up like that, I take the opportunity to make everything nice. I would get the proper hose and a couple of nice shiny S/S clips and do the job proper like. I will also do any little niggly jobs in the area I'm working, like a tie wrap here or a missing screw there then slowly everything gets perfect, or nearly anyway! :upyeah: (that's assuming you can afford the original part, no offence meant otherwise ).
