My tt600 runs fine and the temp is about 70-80 when cruising.
But yesterday i was in traffic doing 20-30 mph for about 3 miles and it got up to 102 degrees.
As soon as i got up to 60mph the temp came down again.
Is this normal for it to go over 100?
Burns my legs with the air coming out from under the tank holes!

Nope that sounds okay, I take it your fan came on? How long since the coolant has been changed and is there coolant in you overflow bottle?
And yes most Triumphs are good at kicking heat out on to you legs (good in winter though)

Its been changed last month. Levels are fine. Been out on my kawasaki today and it was a good 10-15 degrees cooler most of the time. Thats why i thought it inusual of the triumph

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Triumph 4's run a lot hotter than the 3's as my Daytona 1000 is always getting hot whereas the 750 and 900 Tridents hardly ever get hot!! I take there were no air blocks when you changed the coolant then?

If you are worried about it you culd look at using this stuff Frost Stay Cool (1 litre) | Frost Auto Restoration Techniques

    Cheers

Ooh thats a good idea!!. Nice one for that.
I get a feeling the fairing is too enclosed on the tt so air cannot escape anywhere but by your legs. Toying with the idea of cutting vents to let air out as one fairing has a crack on it anyway

Don't cut as you just make a mess of it and trust me there a lot worse bikes than these for heat issues

Ok. I think the position of the sensor doesnt help as it will get hot exhaust gasses on it aswel in slow traffic
