    Hi,
Ive just ordered a new Speed Triple RS and i was going to buy a set of oxford heated grips for it, but the salesman at the dealership told me i cant connect anything into the wiring loom of the new bike as its wired differently in some way and would void any warranty, i have a power point to fit, a sat nav to install and heated grips to go on, so my questions are-- is this true? and is it wired differently? thanks, Dave

    Isn't Canbus great ! :(
I've got Sat Nav and power point on mine, had to be wired to the battery though so constantly live.
On the plus side, I can plug the optimate into it :)
Oh there is a USB socket in tail piece that's about as useful as a trapdoor in a canoe....

Is that right, most new bikes are going CANbus? i remember the PITA that one of my cars caused me because it was CANbus when trying to add a different head unit/sat-nav, although not all ancillaries where on the CANbus system, lighting circuit for one.

I'm considering a KTM 1190 Adventurer R due mainly to weight dropped my Explorer at a junction on Saturday due to severe camber and trying to avoid hitting my mate in front, just too bloody top heavy I'm no body builder but I ain't no weakling either just couldn't hold it just to bloody top heavy.
Going on a 16 day European tour in September but this has knocked my confidence looking at either 800 xca or KTM.
