Hey Folks, anyone had problems with the Engine Management System Malfunction Indicator Light? After 500 km the problem occurs first on my Bobber Black. Dealer did not find anything in the failure log that should switch on the indicator so he did a Software update and I took her back. It was Ok for 10 km then it occurs again. The dealer is clueless.

If he did not fix it within this week this will be an option.

it happens to me earlier today...my Bobber Black MIL switches ON during my ride home ...now I'm waiting for the dealer to open tomorrow to take it in...my Bobber Black is barely 6 days old and 70 miles on it.

Man I wish you good luck. At the end it switches of and does not appear again. The mechanic could not figure out what led to this problem.
Beside this I have another problem with the Cruise Control. In the manual it is stated that you have to be in the 3. gear and minimum 19 mph (30 kmh) to switch it on. On my machine I am not able to activate it before I reach about 50 kmh (~31 mph).
Plus I should be able to increase speed by using the throttle and unless it is for more than 60 seconds the cruise control should stay active. I pull gently on the throttle and the cruise control is gone :-(
Is this the same on your bike?

I'm still in break-in period so i'm not using cruise control yet...even though the manual said it must be between 19mph - 100mph in 3rd gear...the saleman told me it must be between 30mph - 80mph in 3rd gear...so i don't know...

Same for me on my Speedmaster (essentially a Bobber with a pillion seat), as soon as I open the throttle a little the cruise control turns off so you have to press the button again to engage it. I just have to get used to the idea, would be nice to have the ability to nudge the speed up or down a little.

Thanks for the feedback on the cruise controll. Seems like a failure in the handbook (copy-paste) if your machines behaves the same way.

...took it to the dealer and they said the oxygen sensor on the left gave some fault code so they cleared it...issue resolved.

    Hi Randolf
So far with mine no problems....was told at the start to use cruise control in 4th gear doing at least 40mph or more......no problems so far....she has done nearly 2000 miles since Mid June.

Increase speed on the throttle should reset the cruise control speed. Only forward blip of the throttle should turn it off. We've got a demo at work. I'll try to find time to take it out for a spin and see what happens with ours.

I thought the idea of Cruise Control was being able to take your hand off the throttle whilst remaining at a set speed, such as 70 (but not only) mph ?

So whilst you might be able to use it at lower speeds and gears wouldn't you normally be using it in top gear ?

I use it to keep to the speed limit and in a 30mph zone my Speedmaster can only get up to 3rd gear before is starts struggling with the low revs (doesn't like running below 2000rpm). And as you have to be in 3rd before the cruise control will function it's unusable in 20mph zones because I have to be in 2nd gear for going so slow.

When I had my t120 it had a fault where the engine management light kept coming on. And giving praise to Bulldog Triumph they kept the bike for a few days and persevered till they found a dodgy connection and repaired it.
