it looks like you will be near the A6088 Bonchester Bridge to Hawick road it's a cracker:) it wasn't on last years GMU route although as it happens the road at Bonchester bridge was shut due to roadworks anyway, but if you are near it it's worth doing:cool:

If you were to go through kielder up past Kielder water you could join the B6357 at Saughtree (Great road) to Bonchester bridge then take the A6088 to Hawick:cool::cool:

Jeez! Had the best days ride for a long time, took the a6088 what a cracker, the road after st Mary’s loch a708 is stunning, I then realised I’d got on the route we took to Bellingham from Dumfries when I came across this

@GaryM s corner, or straight depending on how you take it!
Then followed the old route. Hardly saw a car at all!
Why doesn’t everyone in Scotland ride motorbikes??

I know, it meant I had to re plan my route, not easy on a tom tom without a computer, then I forgot to save it: unamused:

That ride to Bellingham was a cracker then, but on your own in the sunshine its something else.

So why is it on the Saturday Run for last year's GMU?
They shut Bonchester Bridge,, so we had to got to Jedburgh and across.

Oh and did I mention? I rode x amount of miles to get to st Mary’s loch and probably had the worst ham and cheese sandwich ever! Mind you there’s not a lot of competition around, great location though.
