Went to P.O. as directed , needs mot under previous laws , book in for mot after doing a 5 mile run to make sure it will get me to garage. week later all togged up ready to go , start bike up , let it warm up , wife says , is that oil supposed to be coming out underneath!!!!!!!!!!! bloody thing had wet sumped big time ,deposited tank of oil into crankcase , mot postponed . Back to the drawing board:mad:

That’s strange, I’ve never had a Triumph wetsump that bad. Maybe the oil pump is in need of a good dose of looking at. I had a 1959 3ta 21 back in the late 1970’s, good little bike

I agree, it’s a new pump, can only think something got in and stopped scavenge side closing. Have pump off and cleaned , no obvious blockage.about to reassemble then giving engine a flush out and new oil , fingers crossed

I do believe that the Morgo replacement oil pump is very highly thought of.
    Just thinking out loud!

I think they are the thing for 650s don’t know if they do one for a 350, but I wouldn’t be supprised if they do. I would check the ball valve and it’s seat first

Yes i would check the ball valve seat, never suffered that on any of my twins, the T160 is a right pain for it, so much so i fitted a tap to the oil line.

On a side note why do you still need an MOT, i dutifully downloaded the new form and declared mine is eligible, took it to the PO and the guy said i don't want it bring it back next year with your tax application, mine is already registered as historic last year, and the PO guy said even then all he would do is look at the form and give it back...so i am still a little confused as to why happens if the plod stop me.
