  1. I'm going here tomorrow with my son, and a mate, REALLY looking forward to this, should be mega good fun, and rubbing shoulders with a couple of racing hero's too
The Mrs is the official camera man for me, so should have some decent pics to show later :upyeah:

    how did it go mate??

  3. We had an absolutely brilliant day mate, thanks. Met a few faces from the racing world, Pete Boast, who runs the training school, Phil Crowe who's a front runner in the superbike class in the Thundersport championship, both are also respected TT racers. Also met a young lad called Tim Neave who is currently running second in the UK short track championship, he did all the on track instruction, as Pete Boast (who would have normally been the on track instructor) had a broken pelvis, which he did at Scarborough a couple of weeks ago.
Spent the whole day in 27 degrees heat with no shade in the saddle, we were taught all the techniques needed to turn us into a racer in a day
I made it through the day with no incidents at all, me and my son had some great scraps, and for a fat 50 year old, i was proud to have held my own against half a dozen skinny kids :upyeah:
I have to say though, today i can hardly move  so being fat and 50 is'nt that good after al.
The whole day went to show how unfit i really am, and i AM going to do something about it, my new mountain bike is gonna get more used for certain.
My Mrs was there with her camera, so i will post some pics later, also i'm waiting for some pics from an Australian guy who is a professional photographer for an Australian short track magazine, he was on track with us too, and also a real nice fella.
All in all, a fantastic day. Anyone with a spare 120 quid should go and do it, we learned lots, and had a lot of fun.
    Very highly recommended :upyeah:

I went on one a few years back, i couldn't get use to not doing shoulder check when coming up to a bend, what can i say, i'm an old tit stuck in his ways. they are great fun though, it was the first time i got my knee to the ground. Reading this, i may have to do another one.

Me and my son will do another for sure...but, i want to shed some timber, and get a bit fitter first. I'm off work today, i can hardly move, i used muscles i'd forgotten i have
