OK, so having had a better look at what I have bought - I have a 1992 Trophy 900 and a 1992 Trident 900 with after market and particularly nasty fairing. Having decoded the VINs and looked at a couple of million photos I think I know which way to go now. It's all been made much more difficult by the last owner starting to chop the Trophy about, not entirely sure how to approach that one yet - maybe see if I can find a rear section of a frame and get the welder out - there are only a couple of minor brackets missing off the main part of the frame. Alternatively i could continue what has been started there and turn it in to a cafe racer. I'm going to need absolutely loads of bits if I am to make 2 bikes out f this lot.

I think you are absolutely correct. I'm just going through the bits and my enormous pile of bike jumble and I think I may get away with only a few parts for 1 bike - some of those will be arriving on Monday. I will then have a better chance of making a sensible decision, which may well be to do exactly as you suggest.
