Hi all been a Sprint ST owner for 2 years but newbie to Forum so doing the intro out of courtesy; based in Edinburgh and currently have the sprint for sale on auto trader and gumfree as looking to move onto an Explorer. Have an EML on just now which ive been honest enough to mention in my ad and been through the 3 start up and cools without sucess and the amber light remains as a constant wind up.
Its been I,D’d as 00031p (O2 sensor heater fault) and isnt obvious in affecting bike’s performance
Anyone else that had this and managed to fix just by replacing the sensor or would be keen to get some thoughts on option 2 that involves a blanking nut and a lambda wire box , honest responses welcomed

    Hi
Hi Dozers Dad thanks for getting back so prompt , I've done a few good ride outs on the Sprint recently and even let her warm up in idle before heading off without touching the throttle , with light still grinning at me. I will try the battery trick and let you know how I get on , I've checked the sensor out for damaged wiring as far as I can trace back without a full fairing strip and all looks fine, fingers crossed I can get it sorted with the battery disconnect and pass her on to the next lucky owner

    Thanks Wessa
I tried the battery disconnect option this morning, just need to retry the 3 starts and cool down , fingers crossed. I've checked the fault error code in the Haynes and it says it's a short circuit / earthing problem which even with my limited know how suggests it's a wiring problem ,
