Had mi bike nicked last night, whilst visiting a mate. 2 scrotes in a van pulled up and chucked it in a van. To say I'm gutted, is a massive understatement! Only had it since mid December, and had grown to love it. Wish I'd got a Speed Triple years ago. Got a name already, and got the police involved.

Sorry to hear mate ! I'm with Dozers Dad on this one ! Just this past weekend I watched a news report about violent house burglaries in SA (constantly on the increase) where a couple of the thieving bastards ran out of luck and met their fate. They had some lawyer on the show explaining the law and forensics and how you may NOT shoot at them unless your life is in imminent danger i.e they must first stab or shoot you (cause you physical harm) So when you are woken up at night because there is someone in your house other than you and your family you must first go out and assess the situation by asking the intruder if his intentions are only to rob rape and maybe slap you and your loved one around a bit or if he and his gang is going the full monty and do the afore mentioned plus kill you !! WTF !!!

With any luck - the van will crash and your unrestrained bike will snap their thieving necks. I would love to watch them lift a rocket 3.

When my KTM got robbed from my garage they waited around 3 months and then tried to get in again. Fortunately instead of replacing the KTM (I'll never own a dirt bike again after this) I spent the money on security, bike was only 10hrs old.... so the payout got me some pretty good security and they gave up trying to get in to it.

I don't like that you got your bike nicked - but I do like the extra security.

    Update on my bike theft.
I put it on my facebook, and the response was overwhelming, it's had over 2,000 shares. I've had people I don't know sending me cctv images of the van driving around. I had 2 separate messages on Saturday morning, telling me the van was parked in a dead end lane in a nearby village. I informed the policeman who was on his way to see me, and he went to it. He waited with it until it was recovered. He said it was locked, and he couldn't open it, as it had been involved in several other crimes and needed to be examined. He phoned me a couple of hours later to tell me that a locksmith had opened the van, and my bike was in the back. I don't know what damage has been done, and have to wait until forensics have looked over it today.
On the plus side I have the name of the 30 year old scrote who did it. :)

Terribly sorry to hear this buddy. I hate these thieving scumbags with passion. Some years ago my 954 Fireblade was stolen.

I hope you recover your bike

    All the best

    Excellent news!

Downside is I'll be surprised if they get more than a slap on the wrist and then the powers that be wonder why we want to take the law into our own hands.
