Hi to everyone. Used to own a Triumph a few years ago and now looking to get another one. Totally clueless on anything mechanical so i guess i,ll be on here quite a lot. Please be gentle with me !
Hate to ask a question so soon after joining the forum, But i want to get a Scrambler and was wondering what they are like for day to day riding, touring two up and reliability.
    thanks in advance..Kev

    Welcome to the forum Kevin.

With regards to the Scrambler they won't break any speed records but they are a brilliant all rounder and I'm sure they would also be great for touring. I'm sure that some of the guys on the site that own them would be able to give you more info.
Reliability wise I think these are fairly bulletproof and don't know of any issues with them.

    Cheers

    Steve

Hi Kevin and welcome to the Forum.
I'm sure that the Scrambler owners will be able to offer you some sound advice -only had the Bonneville just over a month but love it to bits. Great for day to day riding and can't see why the Scrambler would be any different.
    Go for it!

    Steve

Hi kevin 5952 yeah i got a scrambler new after along time away from bikes and i couldnt of made a better choice for my personal needs, like been said earlier they dont break no speed records but they sure have character by the bucket load, loads of after market bits and bobbs to keep you happy putting your own touch to your bike as for everyday riding they are what they are a good steady all rounder, i been wales/Angelsey on mine twice since i got it i, recommend a fly screen they really give you a bit of cover for the touring side of things ive had no issuse with mine mechanicaly everything sweet so far but only done just over 500 miles since buying it. in for service soon the 500 mile one that is not free so if you get a new one make sure you get as much for your hard earned money as you can oh well thats another story all the best

Hi, had my scrambler for 2 weeks. Couple of hundred miles done, loving it so far! Not mega fast, but great to ride. Going to try and get some panniers to do some overnight trips. image.jpg

    Welcome to the forum

I had a Scrambler as a loan bike last year. Great fun and I really enjoyed it. Too tall for me but an excellent and underrated bike.
