Hey folks I've just sold my RR9 blade, fancy taking a break from sportbikes for a while. I have been looking at the new Speed RS and I've had a couple of demos on one over at Glasgow Triumph. I can say am very impressed with it, handles beautifully, makes good power. Those Arrow exhausts sound great at full chat. I am considering buying one just thought I'd ask some questions on here first. Has anyone bought one and how are they finding it? Cheers Colin
Hi Colin and welcome aboard, the inmates will shuffle along shortly to introduce themselves, just kidding, great forum and loads of clued up members, I'm new to Triumph after buying a 15 plate Speed triple at Christmas, not as refined as the new RS I know but I'm loving it, good luck with your decision and safe riding
Welcome to the forum! I can't help you on this question. However, as noted, others will be along to provide you some good insights. Good luck with your decision.
Welcome Colin, few members on here that has them...I've not read bad things anywhere. Our stock has arrived in the country and is currently under going homologation before demos will be made available thus can't even share my comments based on a test ride but I do own a 15 plate R and I love it !
Welcome in Mate, not ridden the Speed RS yet but am planning a demo when my Street RS goes for 1st year service in a couple of weeks. This sector of the market has some very good bikes in it, KTM Super-duke, Aprillia Tuono & the BMW S1000R to name just 3, get a go on these demos as well, it'll give you something to benchmark the Speed RS against.
Hi and welcome from another ex-SV Ecosse section reprobate !!! Dean was in here too, but he's succumbed to the lure of the lycra An just go for it, you have loads more fun on big naked's than you do on wee racy things. Comfort is better than bones sticking out everywhere Mr O.
Yeah I know Deano. Been cycling with him a few times. He's sold his Street triple and bought a Ti cycle bike The SV Ecosse forum is full of Triumph owners My handle on the Ecosse site is TheRamJam and its the same on the 1000RR forum.
